Help! My Sony Laptop will not boot!

Hi, I have a Sony laptop that will not boot. I get the initial Sony Vaio start up screen. After then I get something like: PXE-E61: Media test failure. check cable PXE-M0F: Exiting PXE ROM

Check you BIOS. It is trying to boot from the network.

I can not do anything like that, when turn on the computer it goes directly to a black screen even if I press F2. The screen has the information: Pre-boot execution Environment (PXE) v2.1 ..some other stuff PXE-E61: Media test failure. check cable PXE-M0F: Exiting PXE ROM
