Comment: What are the things that would cause my computer to restart often? Especially when I run games or when I'm making DVD's.

Reply: (edit)Well my power supply should work with pentium 4. What would cause it to get weaker? I've also suspected the ram, but i don't know how to check it.

Reply: (edit)Right click My Computer, then click Properties. Click the Advanced tab, then the Settings button in the Startup And Recovery section. Uncheck Automatically Restart and make sure Write An Event To The System Log is checked. After taking this action your computer should no longer keep restarting, but you'lkl recieve error messages. You can also check the system log to see what's causing the problem.

Reply: (edit)I was having the same problem so i ran the test mentioned and the test notified me that the memory failed on four out of 11 tests. Do you think that is why the system keeps restarting?
