Get out the owner's manual, there should be an explanation of the red/green combination of LEDs and what they mean. If you don't ahve the manual, do a google search. HTH

Mitch, sounds like its your e-buzzer on the motherboard (BIOS beeps). This could be due to any of the following HW faults. PSU, CPU, MB or RAM. What I would try and do first if I was you, is remove the BIOS battery for a small while (or use the clear CMOS jumpers on your MB - check manual for this) and try rebooting again, if that doesn't solve, flash the BIOS with the latest BIOS upgrade for your PC, and if your still getting beeps after that, try another power cord, reseat the RAM and the CPU. If it still doesn't fix, then there is something broken, mate and its gonna cost you. Hope this helps, anyway.

Goodluck...

is it like 1 long beep and 4 or more quick beeps?
try removing graphics card and putting back in firmly ie. a good firm (not to hard as to break board lol) push
i have built many pc's in the years and this is a very common problem

also try removing memory and re-place 1 stick at a time, the resson it's beeping is becouse 1 of your hardware ie. mem or graphics card is failing at POST i think 4 beeps is memory or graphics card. (cant remmeber atm but sounds more like to graphics or memory problem if your pc turns on then it dose the beeps and then hangs i am 99.5% sure its graphics card, although with out the correct number of beeps its diff to tell, the amount of beeps ie. 1 long beep and 4 short beeps is telling you that graphics card is failing and if i remember rite just 4 continues beeps means memory failing at POST)
have you upgraded or moved your pc?
desk top pc are not made to be moved around and is very possiable that graphics card needs re-seating, you may have to remove graphics card a few times sounds stupid i know but re-seating normaly dose the trick
like i said a good firm push normaly resolves the problem .
desktop PC's can be moody things when moved
