HELP me pls so strange

hi, when i use my readeon 9200 se card in my computer i cannot connect to the internet with my pci 56k modem it says there was no dail tone and such. But when i take out the ati 9200 se card and use my old tnt2 32mb card my modem works.
i want to use my good card in order to play oline games. thamk you.

You might start off moving your modem to a different PCI slot, one that doesn't share IRQs with your AGP slot.

Your mother board manual should give a listing of what parts use which IRQ.

Try and find a pci slot that is not shared with such a fancy component.

IF IT AINT BROKE, DONT FIX IT

the modem isnt sharing with antother things.
i also place the modem in another pci slot but still doesnt work.

Try "removing" the modem from device manager. Then restart windows and let it reinstall the device.

exact same problem lol.
my way round it was when the pc has booted up. try to dial the connection when it didnt connect. load device manager remove the modem and then refresh. then dial the connection then it would connect was really annoying but a week later i went to uni with a 10/10 lan so never really worked on the problem that much

see if you can disable your comports if not using then & try reassigning the modem resources especially irq to 1 of those com ports

i disable com 1 and com 2 ports and still has problem. but i am not sure how to reassigning the modem resources especially irq to 1 of those com ports
