For an external graphics card is doesn't matter what make/model of motherboard you have since most of them plug into a USB port which all computers and laptops have.

Some external graphics cards are listed here:

External "cards" are for laptops. What you need is an "internal" card (aka discrete card) to fit in the PCI-express x16 slot of the motherboard. How much are you willing to spend & what is the purpose of the upgrade? You can get an HTPC card relatively cheap, but gaming cards are generally more expensive & consume more power. If you're asking about a gaming card, it's possible that the power supply will have to be upgraded too. We need more info.
