can anyone help me to find a rare CD-ROM for an HP OmniBook 3000CTX (3000 series). the CD-ROM i need is a 20x, HP OEM part # F1387A please help i need a CD-ROM for this laptop. this CD-ROM has to be very rare because the only place i could even find one on eBay was the ITExpressEquipment eBay "store" and those freaks always want ten times more for their stuff then it is worth (they wanted about $140 for this CD-ROM!) and they were the only ones on eBay who had the thing. and the cheapest i could find through google searches was $45. i will pay this if i have to but would rather find a cheaper one some place. thanx alot! HEY i had an idea do you guys think a differant brand of CD-ROM would work in it (i.e. IBM) because i examined the interface of my buddies IBM 600E CD-ROM that is 24x and it looks like it would fit, including the physical shape of the drive. are they sensitive to the brand of CD-ROM or would a differant brand maybe work??
