I have Asus MEB-VM mobo with 2 back usb ports. It doesn't have connections for my front usb that are in my case. But i have heard that you can connect the front usb to the one's in the back of your pc so that they are accesible from the front. Is this true? and if so where do the +- and ground wires go in order? And would i have to remove the black covers from the pins on my usb ports? BTW, i only want one of the back usb ports rerouted to the front.

Okay, so you want some front usb ports, but your motherboard doesn't have the additional connectors on it. You proabably have about 9 wires at the end of the cable and you want to know if you can plug those into the back usb and have that port routed to the front. I have not heard of an adapter that would allow you to change these 9 end cables to a USB end. What you may have to do would be to buy a new cable for the case. (one that has a standard USB connector instead of raw wires.)

Yeah but if i pull that black plastic thing off one of my back ports it has 4 exposed pins which are a perfect fit for these wires. and there are only for wires coming out the back of each front usb port which make it seem perfect for the four exposed pins if i pull off that black thing. you followin?

If your just trying to get a connection without reaching behind your computer, you can opt for a hub too. Just a suggestion even though it doesn't answer your question.

Well this will cost a little bit of money, but it will work out a lot better. It's a "2-PORT PCI USB 2.0 ADAPTER 4-PORT FRONT PANEL HUB COMBO" fro eBay ...

This may end up being more practical.

Good luck,

Whoa, that would cost $17! Almost as much as i paid for my mobo cpu and ram combined. Besides i just need one front port.
