Help! Keyboard Problem
Could someone help me with my keyboard problem. I have system with a ps/2 keyboard interface. However I have a regular keyboard. I tried to connected the keyboard to the ps/2 interface computer with a adapter. The BIOS is picking up the keyboard with POST. But when windows is fully loaded the keyboard does not work. Not of the keys work and the keyboard becomes dead. I can operate the mouse though and am able to execute files and read and write. I have tested the keyboard on another regular computer with a regular keyboard interface (not a ps/2) and it is working properly. What could be the problem? Could it the connecting adapter cable? Then how is the keyboard being recognised by BIOS by POST?

I've got almost the exact same problem with my computer right now. I'm not joking with you, if I pull out and push in the keyboard connection three times from the back of the computer it works when I boot up. I have absolutely no idea why.
As soon as the computer posts you should be able to turn the num lock on to check and see if it lights up. If it doesn't shut er down before winders starts and try again.
