CPU/Ram: ?/256megs
Comment:
Somehow, I uninstalled a bunch of random s--- from my computer and next thing I know I have no sound devices or abilities whatsoever.

I go into Control Panel and it doesn't let me do anything w/ sound cuz it says there's no sound device at all! Same when I go to my System Information!!!

*SIDENOTE* In the Problem Devices tab of System Information, it says Multimedia Audio Controller - Error Code: The Drivers for this device are not installed.

I hope that's specific enough! I hope someone can help me!

Thanks!

-Mary

"I hope that's specific enough!"

Sure it is. You apparently deleted the sound drivers so they will have to be reinstalled. We can't help you much with that because we have no idea what soundcard (or integrated sound chip) you have. If you post the make/model of your computer, someone *should* be able to help you. Otherwise, you'll have to try a software progarm such as SIW to help you identify your hardware.

If it's an older PC everest home is real good for locating drivers:

Have you tried a system restore yet to see if that will work?
