Iwas really looking to getting a laptop but having troubles picking 1. I was told that Toshibas made good laptops and have been in the buisness a long time. Thats why im considering them. I was just wondering what shud i look for in a laptop around 1500 canadian. Is 64MB ATI Mobility Radeon 9000 IGP good enough to power most of my games?

Why don't you first read THIS. If you still don't care, that's fine by me.

Matthew,

The Toshiba laptops are excellent. I used one for many years without ANY problems. They hold up well.

The absolute BEST laptops are from IBM. I currently use a T42 with a 1.7M processor that is by far the best laptop I have ever owned. If you're wondering what other laptops I have owned; Dell (the newer ones have flimsy keyboard), Fujitsu (Quite good), Gateway (fair), the others don't count.

Good luck.

Probably not.

If games are important to you, don't even consider a laptop. With a laptop, you are stuck with the components it comes with. You cannot upgrade them like a desktop.

Toshibas are excellent and IBM are top notch also...but Apple Power books have it all over any PC entry. They are quick, sleek, and the graphics are phenominal. I have seen 12" Power Books that blow away 15" pc's fro clarity and overall image. I am not an Apple lover, and they can keep their overpriced desktops, but for laptops, they really are a class act!
