Hey all,

Everything was fine until I being the idiot that I am went into the BIOS to see if I can get more out of my memory… I changed a few things along with the CAS setting (changed to 2 from 2.5(auto)) and after reboot nothing is displayed on the screen, my keyboard lights are flashing like crazy, and the 4 LEDs on my D-Bracket are telling me that there is a problem with the Memory test. AAHHHHHHHHHHHH! This wouldn’t be a problem if I could access BIOS and reset the settings to Default or something… My keyboard in not responding! In the BIOS I set one of the “wake up on” settings to keyboard S3 but I hardly has anything to do with my keyboard’s responsiveness… What should I do? All I need is a one-time access to the BIOS! Dang!!!

I have tried removing the memory module and booting…. Nothing
I have removed my video card… Nothing

I am baffled.

Someone please tell me that this isn’t the end!

Thanks people,

My sys:
300W ATX
KT4 Ultra M/B AGP 8x
XP 2000 CPU
256MB 333MHz RAM (I guess only CAS = 2.5!!!)
GeForce 4 MX440 8x AGP

Damn this!

You could try to remove the cmos battery on the motherboard for a few minutes it should reset the bios.

The easiest way to clear the bios is to locate a small jumper on your motherboard
called 'clear CMOS' or something like that.
If you have your motherboard manual it will tell you in that.
Remove all power from the board and change the jumper across the pins for bout 3 seconds, and put it back, and re-power.
Bingo!!
If that doesnt work or you cant locate the jumper-Plan B ,
If you remove the 'small watch battery'(CMOS battery) from your motherboard for 3 days it should restore the motherboard settings to factory defaults.
All BIOS settings will be lost with either option.
