help , I have a genx pro motherboard
and my bios is AMI. I having problems with
my Keyboard and also at boot up when i
reset my CMOS or cleared it I got a message
Check NVRAM update ok.
And Also a boot up i can't use my keyboard.
I tried removing my clearing my CMOS, took the power supply of PC, disconnected my HD's and CD- Drives and also took out the power for my USB drives. After Doing all those stuff When i try to start my system back again my keyboard still is still being disabled by my system. Nothing's wrong with my keyboard. Is it a virus? or a Hardware Problem Help pls TY.

sounds like motherbd keybd input channel has been disrupted (induced voltage / lightning) but not sure how to check it other than going into the circuits with a vohm.
hopefully i'm all wet and someone else can help with easier solutions. maybe there's an override somewhere to allow use of another device than kbd on bootup, to test. luck...

USB or PS/2 Keyboard ?? Whichever one try the other type !!

USB keyboards may not work in the POST/BIOS screens unless "enable legacy USB hardware" is set in the BIOS screens. You cleared the CMOS, which probably disabled that setting. Use a PS/2 keyboard at least temporarily to reset the BIOS values as needed.

Check the mainboard manual.
Alot of mainboard do have a jumper for PS/2 / USB Keyboard.
Set the jumper to use USB Keyboard default and it will work.
