Headphones jack is gone

I've had my laptop for about four years, and as expected, it's had some problems due to frequent use. But the most recent issue is a bit annoying...the headphones outlet somehow got dislodged and is floating around inside the wiring of the laptop.

Since I have no warranty on the laptop and because repair will likely be expensive (and because I irrationally worry that my computer's contents might get erased during the repair), I am looking into ways to get my sound back that don't involve tearing the casing off my laptop.

Does anyone know if there's such a thing as external speakers (preferably with a headphones outlet) that can plug into a USB port or microphone outlet? Or some kind of adapter that I can otherwise use that will not need the headphones jack?
