My headset volume is very low. I tried going the volume control but it was already at max. Does anyone have any suggestions or programs to make my volume louder?

Are you plugged directly into the soundcard? Click on the volume icon (next to the clock) & try adjusting both the master volume & the wave volume

If using the jack on the CD drive there should be a wleel next to the jack to control volumn.

Sounds to me(no pun intented)that you may be plugged in to the line out jack. Check it. To drive the headset you have to be in the speaker out jack. If you have a set of speakers already plugged in check for a headset jack on one of them. And um I'd lower the volume while testing. You could do some damage to your hearing.

I may be crazy, but I'm not stupid...
