Trying to connect front panel to line out header? Pin Assignment as follows 1-AUD_MIC; 2-AUD_GND; 3-AUD_MIC_VCC; 4-AUD_Reserve; 5-AUD_Front_R; 6-AUD_RET_R; 7-HP_ON; 8-KEY; 9-AUD_Front_L; 10-AUD_RET_L. Pin 9 and 10 are jumpered and pins 5 and 6 are jumpered together. According to the manual both front and back can be used at the same time, The manuel says to remove all jumpers for the front connection however, if the jumper is removed from 9 and 10 you get no sound from the back connection. The cable for the front panel connection is labeled EAR R; EAR L; EAR GND; MIC DATA; MIC GND; any suggestions on how to hook up the ear phones to the front of the case and possibly the mic. I could do without the mic but really would like to have the head phones with the front connection. By the way it is a shuttle ak39n mother board. Thanks

MIC data to 1-AUD_MIC
MIC GND to 2-AUD_GND

EAR R to jumpered 5&6
EAR L to jumpered 9&10
EAR GND to EAR GND?

if you want both front and back you need to maintain the jumpered connections and extend them to the corrisponding front panel connections 5&6, 9&10 seem to be loop points for the back connectors. I didn't see mention of an EAR GND but you may lock out if the MIC and EAR grounds are common.

You can actually buy front panel connections which fit into a 5 1/4" drive bay. Go to www.bodylink.com.au to see a sample.
