how can i easily detect a physical bad sector on my hdd? whats the hint? pls help...

I've found them using Scandisk.

There are some handy utilities here;

http://www.hardwaresite.net/download.html

Depending on the make of your drive, you may not only be able to detect bad sectors, but work around them too.

You have to run Scandisk in DOS mode to see bad sectors. The graphic shows the already flaged sectors as scandisk does a surface scan to look for more.
