I have a gateway solo 2150 laptop computer. Still the harddisk is locked with a password and can't use it. Is there any program/software tool or any detailed info on how to remove that password in my laptop??? Can i do it manually/technically such as removing the screws, case, shorting a pins,etc...???

Is it a harddrive password or a bios bootup password? and forgive me for expressing a doubt about your integrity but why is it that you don't know the password to "your" laptop?
I used to have a signature but it disappeared and I just couldn't be bothered writing another so please feel free to ingore this.

from my experience, you can't get around the hard drive password. Check gateway's website. I know that ibm doesn't have a way. So i just got a new one.
hope that helps.
Please respond after you have solved your problem to notify who helped you and what solved the problem. Both sides benefit when you do.
