Is it mather if my slave drive is jumpered as "slave" or "cable select", when master drive is jumpered as "master"? Should slave drive then be "slave"?

I remember to set it as "cable select" and drive is working, but i'm (maybe) troubleshooting some (perhaps) problems.

You should either use master/slave or cable select...not a combination. And most here will recommend NOT using cable select. Also, it's usually best not to put two HDDs on the same cable/channel whenever possible, especially if you're gonna regularly transfer files between the two drives.

So i should change master as "master" and remove jumpers from slave that it would be as "slave"? Is that so??

Look at the illustration on the label affixed to the individual drives & set the applicable jumper positions accordingly.

How many total devices do you have? As I said, it's best not to put two HDDs together if you can avoid it...but it depends on how you use your system & how many IDE drives you have. Here's a few possible configurations that will give you optimal transfer rates.

3 devices:

prim master = HDD-1
prim slave = none
2ndary master = optical drive (reader or writer)
2ndary slave = HDD-2

prim master = HDD-1
prim slave = none
2ndary master = HDD-2
2ndary slave = optical drive (reader or writer)

4 devices:

prim master = HDD-1
prim slave = optical drive (reader)
2ndary master = optical drive (writer)
2ndary slave = HDD-2

prim master = HDD-1
prim slave = optical drive (reader)
2ndary master = HDD-2
2ndary slave = optical drive (writer)

I have like this:

Primary Master = IDE 1
Primary Slave = IDE 2
----------------------
Secondary Master = CD-RW
Secondary Slave = DVD-RW
----------------------
SATA I = SATA HDD
SATA II = none

I'm not going to change any orders. Even though this is not propably the best configuration.

Whatever floats your boat. It will work any way you do it, but the transfer rates may not be optimal....like I said, it depends on how you use your system. Transfers between IDE-1 & IDE-2 will not be optimal, neither will transfers between the 2 optical drives. So your drives probably won't perform quite as well as they could & you may end up burning more coasters if you burn "on the fly".

I don't transfer files between IDE 1 & 2 and 2 optical drives.
