is there a particular way to install my laptops hard drive? the drive is a western digital and i dont know if is label up (facing desk) or label down (Facing touch pad). the laptop is HP ze4125 with the hdd attached to a tray which slides in the middle of the front.
i was just wondering cause when i try to run the recovery disks i have that i think are for my model, it says wrong system press any key. press a key says cant find hard drive.

Watch the POST screens at start up to see if the drive show up in those screens. Boot into the setup screens and see if you can configure it there.
Is this drive installed into a removable drive bay? If so, there should only be one way to install it.
