Comment:

After installing a new case fan and moving my PCI cards around to get better cooling on the video card, upon reboot, XP automatically downloaded allt he drivers for the "new" hardware, that was there before, just in a new spot now.

When it did this, it got my main hdd right (maxtor ultra series 80 gb) but not my back -up (older quantum fireball CX series 20 gb)

It says it is there in the hardware but as some jibberish as the name. I did a shut down, checked the cables, unplugged replugged the works, even tried to uninstall and reinstall in Hardware profile menu. Nothing.

Any way to get a Quantum driver maybe? Search turned up nothing. I want... no I need the HDD back as it's my back up (actually it has everything on it) from my current work. My current HDD has nothing on it, it's all on the back up.

Please help! Thanks in advance...

Never mind... I got it all worked out.

XP just being fussy again. I had to uninstall then go over and add it in manually through the hardware wizard.

Man it's late and I'm sick of staring at the inside of this box...
