HDD Error

OS: Win98SE
CPU/Ram: 64Meg RAM

I formatted a 4.11GiG Hard Disk - no problems or bad sectors.

Fdisk shows up normal.

Scandisk - everything OK.

When I do a simple "dir" it tells me "No files Found" whish is correct but instead of reporting the size of the HDD, it gives the following: "Extended error 1,928.

What is this message?
Do I replace the disk?

type the error message in any search engine & it will give you the answer.
