OS: XP Home
CPU/Ram: x2 3800/2gb
Model/Manufacturer: custom
Comment:
I want to set the fans speeds on my card to my preferences, but i've tried both atitool and rivatuner but neither of them will let me. In atitool fan control I choose "Dynamic based on GPU temperature, but the fan never changes to my specified percentages. The same happens in rivatuner. Does anyone know why this is? Or is there another program that will actually work with this card???

Just because the fan speed setting is available in Atitool or Rivatuner doesn't mean that it's supported by the card.

The circuits on the card the fan connects to may or may not support adjusting the speed of the fan. If the two wires that power the fan (the third one is for monitoring the fan's rpm) are simply connected directly to 12v or 5v, the speed cannot be adjusted.

If you need to cool the card more, you can get video chipset fans that will do that.

If you were trying to reduce noise from the video card fan, the noise from such fans is usually negligible in comparison to the noise you get from the cpu fan, and you wouldn't hear much if any difference even if you could run it slower.
