Specs: Windows XP, 1.795 GHz / 2039 MB
I have as my Drive C: an SATA, hard drive 500 Gb capacity....but, when I look at Properties for C: in WinXP's "My Computer," it shows me a 76.6 Gb drive -- what I USED to have before making the 76.6 a slave.
How do I get my system to recognise this drive C: for what it actually is???

Thanks much,

So it sounds like you have cloned your old 80GB drive to a new 500GB drive and now you only see the 80GB on the 500GB drive and the rest of the space is unallocated.

You need to download a partition manager, I like EaseUS and it's free

Now you expand the partition the way you want it and reboot.
