My pc has 2 HDs, one with all my vitals (25GB IBM Deskstar), and a 45GB IBM Deskstar that has all my other stuff. the 45GB drive (less than 2 years old) stopped working. My computer won't boot with it in, and when BIOS tries to read it, it starts making this noise, in pulses, as if it is trying to read, but failing. (i hope that made sense). i have tried moving it to another pc (among other things), and the PC runs fine otherwise. PLEASE HELP!!

the drive is a slave, not a boot drive. it is partitioned fat32, so that is not an issue. the drive itself is making the noise. it kinda compares to a car starting...i really hope this doesn't mean my drive is fried :(
