I have defragmented my drive about 3 times in the last couple of weeks .I usally would defrag it as soon as it went to 2% fragmentation. I have Norton Utilities and use speed disk to defrag the 30G.B. H.D. with only about 5 G.B. in use ! Is it becoming fragmented faster a sign of a impending problem ! A couple of weeks ago I uninstalled Microsofts Flight Simulator 2002 Standard Edition .Its takes about 2 Gigs with a full install. Also evertime I log off the net I delete all except about 20 of my temp internet files and do the same with my cookie folder ! I do this daily and usally the cookies I delete ,that go the the recycle bin add up to about 200-300k.b. ! I've run disk scan , with no reported probs .Just curious why its becoming fragmented quicker then it use to ? Thanks to All ,Nick

If you have been installing and deleting files and programs, your hard drive will tend to be more fragmented. If you do video or audio editing, it is recommended that you defrag once a week or so. I usually defrag my pc every month. Takes about 20 minutes or so. Kevin.
