I have just ordered two 120GB Seagate SATA drives, which I will put in along with my existing 80GB Seagate IDE drive. I have a front fan which blows air directly onto the drive, so can I do without a HD cooler or is it still advisable to have one?

Hey XPFreak....What kind of Drive do u have!!!!! If you have enough airflow in ur case u really dont need one....Its not a like a CPU where if u dont have one has soon has u turn ur system on the CPU will fry....You can run a harddrive without a harddrive cooler....It wouldnt hurt to put a HD cooler, exactly it will get u a little more thought that your harddrive will be more cooler and more Life Exspan..You can say.... I ran my Computer without a Harddrive fan for three Years and never add a problem....But it would be ur choice on getting one...It wouldnt hurt to have one or not!!!! Harddrives GET hot but not super hot where it will burn ur skin!!!!.....lol Your Decision.... Jonboy2004
