HD 3650 problem

i have just bought this card but i cannot set the resolution to 1400x1050. the maximum mode is 1024x768?? i'v installed the ati display driver. and my monitor dos surport 1400x1050 as thats what i was running with my old card

What version ATI driver did you install ?
Did you uninstall/clean the previous driver if you had one ?
If the card has a separate power connector, did you connect it to a non-overloaded section of the PSU ?
I assume your monitor can accept the said resolution. By the way, is your monitor identified correctly ? Look at the monitor section in Device Manager.

- use the Sapphire drivers rather than the ones available from ATI.
- make sure your monitor driver is installed & the monitor is properly identified in Device Manager as was mentioned above.

How did you determine he is using a graphics card from Sapphire ? Is it AGP type ? Mine is an AGP Radeon HD 3850 from Sapphire.
