Go to
1-Control Panel
2-Sounds,Speech,...
3-Choose Adjust the system vol. or Sounds or Audio device and start your search for issues.

Note that if you can,t hear music or play DVD,s or read data you can perform the tweak.

This has to be make but carefully.The problem is on regestry. Performing 4 reg. edits.

2.[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon]
"allocatecdroms"="0"

3.[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer]
"NoDriveTypeAutoRun"=dword:00000091

4.[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer]
