Ok, so it has neared the time that I am going to build my rig. I have a couple of parts that I want to make sure are going to work with each other. So, I would like your opinions.
The mobo I am looking at, is a: GIGABYTE GA-MA770-DS3
And the graphics card I am looking at is a: ASUS EAH3650
Is Direct X 10 going to work with XP?
Also, one thing that I want to know: is that more graphic card than I need? I am not a gamer, but I do do a lot of video editing in premier pro, and a lot of photo editing in photoshop CS3, and animation in After Effects.
Have you considered a board with integrated graphics? Possibly a board based on the GeForce 7050 chipset or maybe the AMD 690G? You could always add a card later if the integrated turns out to be inadequate.

No, DX10 is not supported by XP, but you can still use a DX10 card.
