I have this old Modem 'Smart Link 56k' which is not in use these days as i have a lan card and use broadband. My computer is about 4 years old.The modem is plugged into one of the PCI ports on my motherboard.I wanted to know whether it uses any power of my comp or slows it down?

I would remove it if it being not used still uses power of my comp and slows it down
