Ok here is my delema:
When i installed windows xp home and when i turn on my computer, it doesnt get into windows entirely before a screen shows up that reads: ***hardware failure contact vendor **system halted
What could be causing this problem? I have tried fooling around with the bios settings, but nothing has worked so far. Ive tired putting 4x to 2x(vid card) and almost everything else for my plug in play radion 9000 pro graphics card. Im begining to think that my card isnt my problem, because it works in another computer. What else could it be?

just take out expansion cards(modem, nic..) one by one and start up the system again. also try booting it up in safe mode and see if you can get into windows.

Take it a step further, disconnect all but video card, cpu and memory.
Start the pc and you should get a boot drive not found error. If you do not get this error, it is most likely the memory or video card (but it could be the motherboard or cpu as well). If this is the case, the easiest way is to test these components in another pc that you know works.
If you do get the boot drive not found error, then connect the boot drive and start again. If it works, connect one component at a time until you get the error.
