For some reason my laptop is asking for a password after the Acer boot screen. I am not sure what is up with this. I cannot do anything with it I have tried everything. There is an option in the BIOS for a password but I never set one. Why would it do this on its own? The laptop still has a warrenty thru Wal-Mart. I have called and they said it needed to be sent in. I was hopeing i can fix this myself. They said the drive was bad. The drive is detected in the BIOS and I also tried to run the diagnostic from Hatachi. I was going to test the drive but get a message the disk is locked and when i try to erase the disk i get the message the disk is locked. Is it possible for me to remove the password?
