i keep getting a warning that the hard drive is full. but even when i clean up, the hard drive is still full

Not enough info. How big is the HDD & how is it partitioned? Do you have "show all files & folders" enabled so that you can see what's going on? Do you ever clear out your temp folder & temp internet files?
