Okay, Yesterday i received my Dell D600 in the mail. Today while checking e-mails, it said that something had been detected and before i could read it all it rebooted. When it finally rebooted, it said that the hard drive couldn't be detected. I went through diagnostics and everything passes except Start DST Short Test. When i read directions on removing the Hard Drive i realized that it had no screw holding it in place with the laptop. It looked like it had come out a bit. So i was wondering if maybe when i set it down something happened. I pulled the hard drive out and looked it over, put it in trying not to apply much force, and found a screw of my own that fit the hole. Started it up. Still Not Fixed. Please Help!!

Thanks,
-Brittany

You probably should have called Dell tech support before doing anything.

It's new, it's Dell's problem, send it back.
You should never open up a new pc or anything else when under warranty, specially when it's brand new.

Yeah, opening up the laptop may have voided the warranty.
