12G hard have been tested with other comp and found working fine, Is there any way to completely destroy hard and install clean hard?
yeah, you can get the hard drive utility that will low level format your hard drive and destroy all your data that cannot be recoved you can use Power MAX made by Maxtor to wipe out your hard drive OR you can delete all the existing parition on your hard drive and create a new one, and format it *you need windows 98 boot disk to do that*

You shouldn't have to do a low-level format on your hard drive. Just boot up with a floppy disk and use fdisk to delete all the partitions. If possible, use a boot disk that was created on the same OS as the one you will be installing. If that's not possible, a boot disk created on a computer running Windows 98 SE should work.
