60 mg hard drive shows not found when I try to boot up. If I let the computer sit powered on for 30 minutes to an hour, it will usually and the power off and back on, it will usually work. Do I need to replace or is there something else I can do?

If you have a 'hard drive pre delay' or something similar in cmos/bios setup you can try increasing its time. That'll give the drive a little more time to spin up and be recognized.
Check the connections to make sure they're tight. But beyond that it's probably a good idea to replace it before it fails completely.

Yeah, most especially since it is a 60Mb hardrive.

If your hard drive is not being detected by the BIOS at start up:
Check that all connetions are tight as suggested above.
If you have a Fujitsu hard driveā¦this is a typical sign of failure, replace it.Robertt

Hmm. I may have a similar problem. I have a Fuji drive. I have to reboot a second time and the computer will boot. It will always hang just when the OS should be booting the first time. Always comes on the second time though. I tried Fuji's disk tools too and the OP might want to try them or one for his brand of drive, as well, but when I did, it told me it couldn't see the drive to test it and check all connections (which were fine). The program suggested that if all those were fine, then the drive may be faulty.
The BIOS sees it but I think the drive is going.

You can run a HDD test program but I suspect that there is a mechanical problem with the drive that makes it temp sensitive like head spacing or bearings.
I wouldn't put anything on that drive that I didn't have backed up or couldn't afford to lose.

Yes, and I think today the price of a new hard drive is not sooooo much that one should put the data on risk to save some dollors. Once you are sure that the CMOS is not playing any roll in this problem, GET a new Hard Drive.
Good Luck!LINUX is basically a simple Operating System, but you have to be a genius to understand the simplicity!
