Hard Drive Not detected By Mother Board

Specs: Windows 7, Amd phenon II x4
my computer was fine two days ago when suddenly it started giving me 'Error Loading Operating System' message in the pre-boot menu. I updated my bios a few days ago it all went well, but now this seems a serious problem as my computer some times boots and sometimes displays the message. what to do ?? im in a fix plz help !
Im Using,
Giagabyte MA-790FXT-UD5P motherboard , I updated the bios with the update application from the mother board cd, i updated the bios from F8k to F8m.

Sounds like your hard drive is failing or your OS became corrupt. what you can try is perform a repair install of yur OS. as long as you have a genuine licence key and a copy of the CD you can repair install your OS. this will NOT delete any of you documents or applications. it will merely repair your windows installation.

Check in the bios if hard drive is recognized.
Updating bios is risky, don't do it unless it's necessary.
