Hi, I have recently recieved a FREE hard drive from a friend, and it is missing three of the pins that a patch cord would fit onto.
Also, One of the pins on the drive is sligtly shorter, (isn't broken, still has the point) and is very slightly bent... I can easily un-bend the pin, But will the HD work without three of the pins?
If not, How much would it cost to fix? Could I do it myself?
Where could I get it done?Thankyou for your efforts,
Branchsnap LorianP.S. It is an old toshiba drive. (1 gb)

you can try it some of the pins are just dummy pins not really being used
way to hard to fix broken pins esp on a one gig drive. Go to ebay you can buy old drives dirt cheap if you want a small drive

Thanks for the info, But I need a smaller patchcord end (for laptops) BTW: Does anyone know where I can get a 10-40gig drive cheaply? Thanks!
Branchsnap Lorian
