hello ,,here is the problem e-machines power supply went bad,,i replaced but after i start up the pc now the hard drive light is normal,,until i shut it down,,then it stays on, no flashing,,any ideas??

When you say normal - a) does the led flash when hdd is accessed? or b) is it constantly on, even when you shut the pc down? Also is there a power led, and if so what does it now show? Good Luck - Keep us posted.

It sounds like you are saying it boots into Windows but incase you are not....... The E-Machines are funky. It may not like the power supply or maybe you did not plug the little 4 port plug into the motherboard (required only for Pentium 4 CPU motherboards). If it does, then it could be the motherboard was created before the power supply was. It may not be wired the same. You can try a BIOS update. The worst case senario is that you will have to turn the power switch on the back off after you have shut windows down.
