My computer has started making a weird humming noise and it has become rather annoying. I believe it to be the hard drive that is making the noise. The thing is my computer runs fine. I thought it was a sign that my hard drive was soon to be fried, but my computer has continued to run smoothly like it always has. Anybody know what I can do to try and remedy this situation? Thanks.

Back-up anything you don't want to lose immediately.
Go to the mfrs. website, download
and run their diognostic utility to check the drive.

I seriously doubt if it's the hard drive. The usual suspect is a fan.
