I am trying to install a hard drive as the primary slave on my computer. But the hard drive came with a jumper shunt and a jumper, I removed the jumper shunt thinking I didnt need it, and went ahead and set the other jumper to slave. But when I turned my computer on the computer wasnt working right so I took it out and everything is fine now. Do I need to keep the jumper shunt on there for the drive to work.
Heres the specs for my computer and new hard drive
Computer
-Custom Built
-1.6GHZ
-256MB DDR
-11 GB HD-Current one set as primary masterHard Drive
-Western Digital EIDE drive

-MD #WD800JBRTL (Looked at the guide and says nothing about the placement of jumper shunt or jumper, maybe someone else will get a better understanding)I really need help because I am about to run out of room on current hard drive
Thanks
