Working for a major computer company, I have seen many cases where computers were left on for 24/7 in businesses. (Wonder how they feel about the electric bill??) Then they decide to change OS's. Turn off the computers to change out the hard drives and experience a 20% failure rate. So much, that the project managers were initially blaming the techs for mishandling the drives. Sometimes the drives were to hot to hold comfortably in your hand.

Rule #1: Good Computers don't go down.
Rule #2: There is no such thing as a good computer.
