Hard drive detecting

I have motherbord inter 865pe-a and i have one IDE drive 250 GB other one SATA drive 500 GB problem is IDE drive not detected by motherboard some time detecting it but SATA drive no problem.
How can I fix it

First, you should try replacing the IDE cable from the motherboard to the hard drive. If the problem then persists, you will know its not the cable.

Where are you seeing the drives being identified? In the POST screens at start up?

If that is the case and the IDE drive is only showing sometimes then you may have a defective cable or a bad connection.

I assume the IDE controller is enabled in the BIOS screens?

If you have a spare power connector try it, or try swapping the power connector with the optical drive (if it's IDE)
