Hard drive and cd drive not detected

March 3, 2011 at 14:51:36
Specs: Windows XP
My computer just back from repair - hard drive wiped clean. I booted from a floppy created by my laptop with the same system - XP Home. But I can't install XP or anything else, since my computer doesn't recognize any other drives than the floppy. config.sys and autoexec.bat are empty - is this the problem? I tried the "edit" command, but it says "bad command or file name." What do I do?

Thanks! This link was very helpful. I also put the CD in my DVD drive, which seemed to work. But the link guided me step-by-step through the process. Thanks again!
