|Watch the POST screens at start up to see haw the drive is identified there. If the full 80GB then someone partitioned the drive into a 32GB primary partition. Look in Disk Management. If the drive was partitioned into 32GB plus the remainder then the remainder will show in Disk Management.|
If the hard drive shows in the POST screens as a 32GB drive then there may be a jumper on the back of the drive that is limiting the capacity.
Another possibility is that someone manually configured the hard drive parameters in the BIOS screens to only use 32GB.
Is the file format of the 32GB FAT32 or NTFS?
