Hard Disk Interface Connector

need some help here. when i was reconnecting my hard disk, i set the IDE flatwire cable in the wrong orientation and pushed it hard against my hard disk's interface connector. i think one of the pins on the interface connector was pushed and buried inside the hard disk. can this be remedied? i haven't gone to a computer repair shop yet about this. can my hard disk still be repaired? if not, can the data be recovered still? thanks a lot

I wudnt have fort so mate. its prob cheaper to buy a new disk then it is to get it repaired looks asthough u have lost everything a new hard-disk is prob the answer.
