you are saying that you connected it as a slave..& also you are able to boot it now? Right? Then
Try to check "Drive Errors" to do so...Right click on one by one partition (of your slave HDD) then PROPERTIES>TOOLS>CHECK NOW. and check the option "scan for and attempt to recover of bad sectors" and hit START.
do it on all partitions.. and de-fragment the partitions.. and at last restart..you are almost done.....!!!
IF STILL YOU GETTING SAME ERROR IT IS BETTER TO BACKUP THE DATA..
