Help yourself.....backup your files and data that is important, if the hard disk is failing and you are not able to copy your files to another location normally, "PC Inspector, and Recuva" are two good free data recovery programs. Those warnings are usually not false and you need to back it up while you still can. A hard disk test downloaded from the manufacturer can test the hard disk, but even before I ran that test I would back up the data!

hey harry.......! HopperBoxis 100% right... @this time u have to help u r self, but u can try the option that which i did on my HDD which was also having same problem

you are saying that you connected it as a slave..& also you are able to boot it now? Right? Then

Try to check "Drive Errors" to do so...Right click on one by one partition (of your slave HDD) then PROPERTIES>TOOLS>CHECK NOW. and check the option "scan for and attempt to recover of bad sectors" and hit START.

do it on all partitions.. and de-fragment the partitions.. and at last restart..you are almost done.....!!!
IF STILL YOU GETTING SAME ERROR IT IS BETTER TO BACKUP THE DATA..
HOPE HELPFUL....!!
