hang after beep

Specs: Windows XP
Sir, My computer hang after start and beep , without starting the window XP and showing the message as CMOS Checksum error - default loaded , press F1 to continue and DEL to enter set up / Q flash. thereafter the computer hang and not beep again after repeated try. I checked the connection, memory card , both the fan and drive etc. but computer not beep again after the start . What shall I do and what is the problems.

System specs would be helpful.

"CMOS Checksum error - default loaded"

You need to enter the BIOS & correct the settings. And you *may* need a new CMOS battery.

if jam`s suggestion doesn`t work try reseting cmos battery...

oh dear, i "reseted" a lot of batteries today on this forum

problem not fixed by replacing the cmos battery or memory card . CPU fan are also working normally.
No beep even after removing the power and ribon cable
from the hard drive ,floppy and cd-rom drive .Help ...

remove the ram and reput it again
