Handwriting to Speech Conversion

My mother is speech (and typing) impared, which makes it almost impossible for her to communicate on a phone.
I'm sure there are Tablet PC's that can convert handwritten notes to text, but what I need is a Tablet that can automatically convert her notes to text (audio) that I can hear over the phone. I would also be interested in an aftermarket software solution. THANKS! Doug

TTY/Teletypewriters require the ability to type.
There are tablets that convert handwriting to text. Once you have the handwriting into text converting to speech should be easy.
Do a search on Google for Text to Speech. There a loads of options.

Thanks for the info. Yea, Stuart is correct in that she doesn't type well, so a TTY isn't a good solution. I've looked everywhere, and no one makes a simple (low end) Tablet PC that does the conversion from handwriting to audio automatically. My only problem with a standard Tablet PC with aftermarket software is that she'd have to learn how to use a computer. I'm thinking about hiring a programmer to write me a script does the conversion automatically with any tablet. There aren't to many 80 year old computer geeks out there.
