On the left-hand half of my monitor (an acer AL1916W 19" widescreen LCD) the text seems slightly fuzzy, whereas on the right it seems clearer, although slightly more pixelated. It almost looks like the left hand side has been antialiased but the right hasn't. I've checked the cable is plugged all the way in evenly. One thing that came to mind is, I'm running two graphics cards (HD 2600XTs) and I have crossfire enabled, although I thought that only did anything in games.
Can anyone suggest a reason for this inconsistency in displaying? Is my monitor on its way out?
Thanks

Check the config setting for filtering
on the graphic cards. Have you tried to disable the crossfire?

Just disabled the crossfire - no change. I went into the catalyst control center and looked in the display properties but I can't see anything about filtering. Do you know where it would be?
Thanks for your help

The filter maybe tied in with the resolution
Try changing the resolution size to see if that will help. Native resolution of 1440×900

If that didn't help can you run off of one graphic card?

Are you overclocking?

Well it's always been on the native resolution, and neither card is overclocked currently. I only overclocked them for a short period once, and decided it didnt make a difference and they got too hot so didnt bother with it. Having said that they're second hand so I don't know their history. I suppose I could take one of them out, but with crossfire disabled, isn't it only using one card anyway?

Yes neal you are right about the crossfire in the disable mode uses only one, but it uses the master card I would try using the one that is the slave only. To see if their is a problem with each one.
